FRP Ladders
Our FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) ladders are the preferred choice for electrical, chemical, and hazardous environments where aluminium conductivity or corrosion poses a risk. Non-conductive, non-magnetic, and extremely durable.
Compliant with IS 4130, each ladder is designed to deliver maximum safety and longevity in environments that would rapidly degrade conventional metal ladders.
What Makes FRP Different
Unlike aluminium or steel, FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) is entirely non-conductive — making it the only safe choice near live electrical installations, substations, and high-voltage environments.
Its glass-fibre matrix resists virtually all industrial chemicals, including acids, alkalis, and solvents — and unlike metal, it will not corrode, pit, or weaken over years of exposure.
Safe for electrical environments up to 35kV; zero conductivity throughout the entire ladder structure, including rungs and stiles.
Unaffected by acids, alkalis, solvents, and industrial chemicals. Ideal for chemical plants, refineries, and water treatment facilities.
High strength-to-weight ratio easy single-person carry and setup even for tall ladder variants.

Ideal Applications
Electrical & Power
Substations, switchyards, transformer maintenance, and all high-voltage electrical access work.
Chemical & Petrochemical
Refineries, chemical plants, fertiliser units, and any process area with corrosive chemical exposure.
Water & Wastewater
Water treatment plants, sewage facilities, and desalination plants where corrosion is a constant concern.
Electronics & Cleanrooms
ESD-sensitive environments, semiconductor fabs, and cleanrooms where metal contamination must be avoided.
Marine & Offshore
Ship decks, offshore platforms, and coastal structures where sea-salt corrosion destroys metal ladders.
Healthcare & MRI
Hospital maintenance, MRI suites, and medical facilities requiring non-magnetic access equipment.
Frequently Asked Questions About FRP Ladders
Why are FRP ladders used for electrical work?
FRP ladders are non-conductive, making them a safer choice for electrical maintenance, telecom work and areas where accidental contact with live equipment is a risk.
Are FRP ladders suitable for chemical and outdoor environments?
Yes. FRP ladders resist corrosion, moisture and many industrial chemicals, making them suitable for chemical plants, wastewater facilities, marine sites and outdoor maintenance.
Do you supply different FRP ladder types?
Yes. FRP ladders can be supplied in step ladder, extension ladder, platform ladder and industrial access configurations based on the application.
Can I request a quotation for FRP ladders?
Yes. You can share the required height, application area and quantity through the contact page, and Skyline Scaffoldings will suggest a suitable FRP ladder option.
